Imposter: our quietest intern was Mr. White and won with a single guessed word

Our manager brought out Imposter as an icebreaker on the first night of our team retreat, ten of us passing one phone around a hotel conference table pretending we weren't all secretly checking work email under it. She turned on the optional Mr. White role for extra chaos, which meant one unlucky person would see absolutely nothing, not even the category, while the rest of us stared at the same secret word.
The word was "spreadsheet," which in hindsight is the most office-retreat word imaginable. Everyone gave their one clue, things like "formula," "tab," "cell," all pretty tight to the theme. Then it got to our summer intern, who is maybe the quietest person on the team and usually only speaks in meetings when directly asked a question. She said "organize," totally calm, like she'd seen the word same as the rest of us.
Nobody suspected her for a second, because she said it with zero hesitation and it fit fine. We ended up voting out a project manager whose clue, "grid," felt weirdly generic to a couple of people, and he flipped his phone to reveal the actual word, groaning that he'd been robbed. That's when we realized nobody had been caught as the plain imposter, which meant somebody at the table had seen nothing at all.
It was the intern. She hadn't even gotten a category hint, Mr. White gets nothing, and she'd bluffed "organize" purely off the vibe of everyone else's clues sounding vaguely office-related. Since she was never voted out, she never had to guess, but our manager made her guess anyway for fun, and she nailed "spreadsheet" in one try off nothing but context clues. The room actually applauded. She got promoted to "scary good at this game" status on the spot, and half the senior staff still bring it up in Slack.
Honestly it flipped how our team sees her, in a good way, and made the rest of the retreat way less awkward.
